Love On & On by Donna Summer was intended to be the first single off the soundtrack to the Miramax movie, "54", to pump the movie before its release (and visa versa). Someone had leaked the Studio 54 dance version of the song to radio stations and simultaneously it appeared on some DJ promo CD. It took off like wildfire. Shortly after a clash of personalities ensued between an associate of a co-writer and the label's A&R at some cocktail party. And apparently Donna had walked out of a private screening of the movie arranged by film company before the film even finished. So the label acquired the song, reproduced a completely different remix with Hex Hector... and used the buzz of this bootleg to pump their chosen single while burying 'Love On & On' on the B-side. Songwriters: Michael O'Hara, Denise Rich, and George Lyter.
